In collaboration with DGI Bauwerk and Gina Barcelona Architects, we came first in the interdisciplinary design competition for the completion of the “Oberschule am Kirschgarten” in the district of Bernau. This is a modern and groundbreaking school campus that will be completed in two construction phases. We have been commissioned by ARGE OScaR (DGI Bauwerk / Gina Barcelona Architects) with the planning of all the technical equipment for the building, as well as with the supervision of its construction.
Our planning focuses primarily on the sustainability and energy efficiency of the building technology we design. Our holistic energy concept comprises the use of solar thermal energy, photovoltaics and district heating. Hybrid ventilation systems with highly efficient heat recovery and the use of heat pumps were also components of our energy concept in the competition. In the course of the construction, the concept will be further developed and optimized to meet the demands of day-to-day school life and the framework parameters.
